He was a son of Late Ausi Kirunda and Great Grandson of Mukama. King Mukama was the son of King Nkutu. King Nkutu was the son of King Kirunda Kiyuba. Kirunda Kiyuba was the son of Kibedi Menya.
Kibedi Menhya was begotten by Kakaire Menhya.
He is remembered by many Ugandans especially Muslims and even non-Muslims for helping them in many ways to attain better lifestyle by encouraging them and even enabling them to further their studies at home and abroad.
